The New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence is a statewide network of 13 member programs, providing technical assistance and training and administering millions of dollars in state and federal funding contracts. We continue to work collaboratively with many local, state, and federal organizations to further our common goal of ending domestic and sexual violence. Guided by the recognition that violence and oppression are connected, and affect us all, the Coalition continues to promote social change and work toward the goal of a society free of violence for all. The advocates at the member programs are trained in understanding the effects of childhood exposure to domestic violence.
Our member programs also have a number of prevention educators who work in the school systems. Primary prevention includes strategies that aim to prevent violence before it starts. Our prevention education programs focus on increasing the protective factors that prevent violence and reduce the risk factors that increase the likelihood of violence occurring.
