BIPARTISAN BUDGET DEAL TO FULLY FUND SENATE BILL 14
CONCORD, N.H. –Today, Governor Sununu and legislative leaders announced a budget deal which will address important issues affecting New Hampshire’s children, youth, and families. In response, Becky Whitley, Policy Director of New Hampshire Children’s Behavioral Health Collaborative (CBHC) an initiative of 80+ organizations focused on breaking down barriers and improving behavioral outcomes for children, youth, and families released the following statement:
“The budget deal announced today is a critical step forward for Granite State children and families. The CBHC is pleased that the bipartisan agreement fully funds Senate Bill 14, a comprehensive bill that will transform New Hampshire's System of Care for children’s behavioral health and create statewide access to community-based mobile crisis response and stabilization services for children.
“New Hampshire is experiencing a multitude of crises impacting our children, and it is imperative that we address these problems head-on. We urge the Senate and House of Representatives to support this bipartisan budget and make this critical investment in Granite state children, youth, and families.”
